Bridgepoint Hospital, Toronto
This week, our miniature therapy horse, Stash, trotted into Bridgepoint Hospital to bring comfort and a touch of calm to patients and staff alike. The visit began outside on the front lawn of the hospital where Stash grazed peacefully on the grass outside the modern glass façade. There were some curious smiles from passersby and staff watching from the windows.
Inside, Stash made his way through the lobby and up the elevators to the patient rooms, where moments of quiet connection unfolded. Patients reached out to stroke his soft mane and fed him small treats brought especially for this visit. It was a moment of joy that broke the routine of hospital life, a reminder of the world beyond the walls and the healing power of companionship.
The staff at Bridgepoint Hospital welcomed Stash with open arms, noting how the visit lifted spirits across the wards. As always, his calm nature and curious eyes seemed to sense exactly where comfort was needed most.
